 Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEEP) BLS Format

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) course is designed for Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs), Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), and Advanced EMTs (AEMTs). This one-day onsite course includes online precourse work, hands-on skills practice, instructor-led training, and a final exam. Participants receive a Course Completion Certificate valid for two years and earn 8.25 CAPCE continuing education credits. Developed by emergency physicians and EMS providers, PEPP uses evidence-based practices, interactive learning, and realistic scenarios to prepare prehospital professionals to confidently assess and care for pediatric patients in emergency situations.

Managing the Spine injured football Athlete

Over the last several years football equipment has changed drastically, and the best practices associated with management and/or removal of equipment have changed as well.  In Dr. Hoffmans lecture with hands on lab will focused on evidence based approach to managing the spine injured football athlete with special consideration on how to manage equipment and make decisions regarding equipment removal.
