Josh began his career in medicine as and EMT-basic in rural Utah in 1999, later completing paramedic education at Weber State University in 2002. After a decade in EMS, he completed Physician Assistant studies at Oregon Health and Science University in 2011. Josh holds national accreditation as a PA with added qualifications in emergency medicine, and practices community emergency medicine at Providence Newberg Medical Center. In addition to clinical duties, he serves as the lead Advanced Practice Provider in the emergency department and served on the Providence Health and Services APP Governance Committee. In 2024, Josh completed a Doctor of Health Science degree at George Washington University in Washington, DC, with a focus in medical education.
