2024 Oregon EMS Conference Tuition Assistance

ODOT/DMV-TSO GRANT SUPPORTED TUITION ASSISTANCE

TUITION ASSISTANCE APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN AND WILL BE REVIEWED FOR ELIGIBILITY.  APPLICANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED IF THEIR REQUEST IS APPROVED OR DENIED.

This conference is supported by a grant from the Oregon Dept of Transportation/DMV-Traffic Safety Office (TSO) to strengthen the care provided by emergency responders to vehicle crash victims on Oregon roadways. From this emergency responder training, participants are better prepared to provide emergency care to victims of road crashes; reduce vehicle crash scene times; and support the EMS work force by acquiring CE that is applicable to maintaining their EMS licenses!

Thanks to the ODOT/DMV-TSO and Oregon EMS Education Foundation, the Oregon EMS Conference is pleased to offer tuition assistance to help offset the tuition costs to attend the Oregon EMS Conference.  Each individual must apply separately. Tuition Assistance is available for the main Friday/Saturday Comference only, either in-person or virtual -- no pre-conference sessions. Applications are considered in the order they are received. A wait list will be established if needed in case of any cancellations. Please note that attendees will be responsible for meals, lodging, travel and any additional expenses.

Tuition Assistance Criteria:

  • Tuition assistance through this ODOT/DMV-TSO funding is available for EMS/Medical providers that care for victims of rural crashes on Oregon roadways.
  • Applicants are required to submit a reference letter from a department leader, city/county official, or other person who can verify your role in the department.
  • A maximum of two people per department can receive reimbursement. Please note that awardees are selected on an individual basis, not by department
  • To allow more emergency responders the opportunity to attend, applications from individuals who have received a stipend for any three of the previous Oregon EMS Conferences will be held until the final review period (if stipends are still available)
